| I also saw a 2-3 degree drop in temps today but i'll be testing it out again later when ambient temps reach the same as they were yesterday when i conducted the original readings. |

| oh noes | Hmmm, I haven't been seeing much of any drop in temps since I fired my computer up, but it also sat for a day with the ic7 before I fired it up in the first place, lol. I might try reapplying it on monday, it was kinda a rush job when I did it before... ![]() e8500@4ghz|Asus P5k-e WiFi| 4gb OCZ ReaperX|2x 3870's|1.3tb storage space|MSI tv tuner. |

| I would check the mounting hardware - push pins from acquired data while inconclusive, at least anecdotally in a couple of instances appear to be a problem in getting enough pressure and so degrades performance |

| oh noes | Yeah, on monday night I'm hoping to yank my whole motherboard... mounting the heatsink outside of the case never hurts, lol. ![]() e8500@4ghz|Asus P5k-e WiFi| 4gb OCZ ReaperX|2x 3870's|1.3tb storage space|MSI tv tuner. |

I'm too lazy though to take everything out, so I just manage by some crazy way to tighten it properly. I'm pretty sure the screws will be stripped one day, but they're relatively standard screws you can find at your local hardware shop. | |

| oh noes | Yeah, I have an antec 900 too... but if I start with the push pin that's in the corner between the two case fans, the rest are easy to reach, lol. ![]() e8500@4ghz|Asus P5k-e WiFi| 4gb OCZ ReaperX|2x 3870's|1.3tb storage space|MSI tv tuner. |

| oh noes | Yeah... my old cooler was terrible though. A thermaltake minityphoon, all nice and coppery looking... but didnt work for crap with the pushpin mount system (and it cut you bad whenver you tried mounting it when it was already in the case, ugh). Works really, really good on amd systems though, lol. But anyways, my akimbo 8800gt cooler should get here today, I hope I have enough ic7 to use on that and on my cpu a 2nd time, and maybe on my NB too, lol (it's already been used on 2 cpu's and a video card...) ![]() e8500@4ghz|Asus P5k-e WiFi| 4gb OCZ ReaperX|2x 3870's|1.3tb storage space|MSI tv tuner. |
