| Someone please correct me if I have some of this wrong but I see a small problem in the master plan of things. 2 Fans for the CPU cooler will work. 1 Exhaust fan for the case rear will work. 1 Intake fan for the front of the case. I see a small problem. The fans chosen should work fine blowing down into the CPU Cooler: Cooler Master GeminII CPU Cooler Review - the Cooler The fan of choice here is the Arctic 12 (120 mm Fan). This fan is pretty much designed to function as an exhaust fan isn't it? Newegg.com - ARCTIC COOLING Arctic Fan 12 (AF12) 120mm Case Fan - Retail The fan only allows mounting on a single side unless some standoff system is devised. Thus, if the fan were mounted on the front of a case in a normal fashion, it would exhaust and not bring air into the case? Unless I am missing something along the way here. As to fan speed control there are some pretty nice controllers out there to be had. With the proposed setup I don't know as I would be too quick to worry about controlling fan speed on the CPU cooler. I would likely just let them run full speed and see how quiet things were. Then if noise was excessive I would pursue a speed control. Looking at the case design of the selected case, I would definately want a front fan simply because it would aid in keeping the HDDs cool. Assuming I am looking at the picture correctly? I am just big on having forced airflow over the HDDs when possible. The only small downside I see to using a fan speed controller is that unless it automatically adjust for temperature, it is not quite a set it and forget it affair. The user needs to manually compensate. Controllers that do compensate are sweet as no user intervention is needed. Anyway the only small quirk I see is that case front fan with the selected fans. I would likely just use the adapters mentioned and just see how things sound. Then work from there. Ron |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | those fans are being used for the CPU cooler, as they were recommended, and as they were used in the review of that cooler INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | yeah, exactly right....they can only be used as exhaust fans because of their design. | Actually with some minor mods and some fun, these fans can be used anywhere. I just wish I had a couple to show off my ideas. Until then I'll just have to keep on using what I've got.![]() |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | Fluid Dynamic Bearing fans are the absolute best around.....The performance to noise ratio is phenomenal. Arctic Cooling offers a variety of these fans for every need....... The Arctic 12025PWM is the exact same fan with a full fan body INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU |

| Speaking of Fan Contollers, does anyone know of a controller that will work on Molex connections? I want to put the 4 fans for the Nine Hundred on a single controller for ease of adjustment. |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | Its tough because most fan controllers have a limit on load.....which is why these fan controllers typically have 4 separate channels to work with. The fan controller I linked has one 4 pin molex input, and four individual 3 and 4 pin molex connectors to run to the different fans INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU |

| The unit I linked to is going to be used in my 900. I can't wait to get started on it, Bailey. |

| I thought I would mention this fan controller... mCubed Home It's called the T-balancer BigNg. I discovered it a few months ago, while researching about watercooling. It seems to be very popular in the w/c community because you can plug just about anything into it including pumps. ![]() D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |
