thats a pretty decent kit but you can get something better for the money you would pay for that. Petra'sTech CoolKit Elite - Rev.2. comes with a better pump and cpu block

I don't know if you already saw this post, but if you are looking a simple water cooling solution that delivers the same performance as the non-external equivalent, the link above is the best external water cooling gets. All you have to do is find a way to get the tubing inside your computer.

just recieved an email from the,.... the guy sounded extremely busy and seems they are alittle backed up. Momma saw my little sticky note I left for the cost of the unit.... seems I might be stuck with the Swiftech Ultra kit cooling the 2 gpu's and the cpu..... saves a couple hundred bucks.......

been looking at alot of photos lately... boy I tell ya, those water cooled systems sure are something special!!!

Okay I dont mean to beat a dead horse here, and please dont think I am ignoring anything anyone says..... I came across this at the swiftech fourms, about the original Swiftech H20 120 compact system I had originally posted about..

Futuremark - ORB - Project Comparison

supposedly this guys runnin 2 8800 GTx's and a quad on this system.... please correct me if I misinterpreted his system config. iS IT POSSIBLE??

Been in contact with the water keg guy again, tryin to swing a deal, also I could make something like this housing a work very easly, so i'd have to buy the parts in a manner of speaking. Momma freaked on me about the price, guess she feels the kids university education is more important!!! WOMEN!!!

Looks like he does have a dual 8800 w/ a quad-core on a single 120mm fan rad, BUT... I have to wonder what his temps are. I wouldn't do it...

Just because it can be done doesn't mean it's a good idea.
I wouldn't do it...

I agree..... I also came across this in there fourms.... a Swiftech guy (i am assuming since he has a Swiftech avatar) explained it like this....

"Many people believe that adding VGA cooling to your CPU loop doubles the heat load, but in fact it doesn't. CPU and graphics are never fully loaded at the same time, except under artifical testing conditions. In real life, when you play a game, you VGA puts out heat in your system, while the CPU is around iddle, and when you run CPU intensive apps, then it's the opposite."

is this a true statement??

That does not seem very realistic to me, games are going to stress both the GPU and CPU at the same time. If you want to test this, hit Alt+Tab+Delete to bring up the task manager; then go to the Performance tab where it shows the chart of CPU utilization. Now leave this open and start your favorite game or run 3DMark. Play for a minute, then hit Alt+Tab to switch windows (it will minimize your game and show you the task manager). Look at the history of the CPU utilization chart, it will be much higher than "around idle".

If you've got a single core processor, it will be near 100% load, a dual core processor will be at least 50% - 60%, and a quad core would probably be around the 25% - 30% range. Most games are single threaded, meaning they can only be processed by a single core at a time. Some newer games can take better advantage of dual core processors, but for the most part, multi-core processors are very underutilized by games. Still though, it is no where near idle...

I would say no, because many of today's games use the CPU for physics rendering and the like. A GPU in the loop may not double the heat output, but expect higher idle and load temps for CPU and GPU and not quite as high an overclock.

The only time I would put a CPU and GPU(s) in the same loop is when you:
  1. Have an excellent pump
  2. Have AT LEAST a 3x120mm rad
