just an input, did you remove the film at the base of the HSF when you got it out of the box? the plastic protective film?

Does your CPU normally run at 58°C on idle? If that's true, it's way too hot for idle.

Follow the advice of everyone else who has posted so far, and maybe clean out your case and heatsinks of dust, make sure your HSF is not loose, that the fan works, check for plastic covers and then if all that doesn't solve the problem, maybe you want to think about getting a better heatsink.



If it's not fixed, then don't broke it!

I agree sounds like CPU heatsink is cloggd up with dust bunnies.
mine idles at 34 and loads at 50
