I get the same temps as Carl with my E6600 and typical room temp of around 80ºF, at a speed of 2.8GHz. At stock 2.4 the idle is the same but the load is around 41ºC

I was using a Zalman Cnps 7700 Cu.

The cpu is now cooled by an Apogee GTX ,I try and run some benches tonight
when I get home.

On an arctic freezer pro 7. The rooms not very cold its 24 degrees C in here, must me a malfunctioning sensor or BIOS (as my current version doesnt offically support this CPU. if it ai'nt broke, dont fix it )
