tonschk, that means the sensor on your E8400is either bad as mentioned in this thread previously or the compound was not done properly causing higher temps.
try Core Temp, Speedfan and TAT (Intel's Thermal Analysis Tool) and see what the temps across all 3 programs are.

Thank you all for the answers and help, Real Temp 2.2 give me 10 degrees less (39 C) , core temp give (49 C) ,HWMonitor 1.08 give me (49 C) , the BIOS at start up give me something above 35C , i believe in Real Temp , thank you very very much for the help Click the image to open in full size.

which temp monitor is usually more accuate, coretemp is consistently 14 degrees C higher than speedfan reading on my Q6600. I ask because under stressprime core temp shows readings in mid 70's and that is kinda scary.
