Post your screen shot tonschk, that means the sensor on your E8400is either bad as mentioned in this thread previously or the compound was not done properly causing higher temps. try Core Temp, Speedfan and TAT (Intel's Thermal Analysis Tool) and see what the temps across all 3 programs are. (No other place to put it.) | Re: C2D Core Temp. Post your screen shot which temp monitor is usually more accuate, coretemp is consistently 14 degrees C higher than speedfan reading on my Q6600. I ask because under stressprime core temp shows readings in mid 70's and that is kinda scary.
