| My case is as good as silent =\; maybe I'm just used to it. Leads me to wonder how much quieter it could become if I didn't run everything the way that I do. |

| T-Rex | You're probably used to it haha, because the dual slot cooler used on the 8800GTX isn't the quietest around though not the loudest either. =P |

| and not to mention havin the fan run at 100% may not be any real benefit since you'll be circulating the hot air in the case anyway. |

They put so much on there it was acting as an insulator. As mentioned, the Zalman VF-1000 is the first that comes to mind with an after market, the Thermalright HR-03 Plus is another I know off the top of my head. Basically after replacing the goop on my 8800 the temps never get over 55C under load, so I'm pretty happy with that. | |
