Hehehehe, just not as quick on the keyboard there polo
At least your list is much more complete...

Anyway, don't misunderstand us, the 7600GT is still a great bang for the buck card and I would recommend it any day. But you will most definitely, without a doubt get more performance out of any 7900 series card than you will out of any 7600 series card. What resolution do you play games at?

My bad.

7900gs is better.

If I were you, I would be happy with either one!

Really? but the GT specs are better than the GS though... I dont know a decent resoulution not to big or small. maybe soemthing like 1280 x 960 something like that or maybe bigger.

7600 GT EVGA E-GEFORCE 7600 GT KO 580MHZ PCI-E 256MB 128BIT 1.5GHZ GDDR3 Dual DVI-I HDTV Out Video Card

7900 GS EVGA E-GEFORCE 7900 GS KO 500MHZ 256MB 256BIT 1.38GHZ GDDR3 Dual DVI-I HDTV Out Video Card
AND i really need the best performance for Flight Simulator 2004 $200 dollar for card.

Any card could get the best performance that you listed in my opinion.

This is the requirements for that game.

Quote:
- Microsoft® Windows® 98/Me/XP/2000
- PC with 450 MHz equivalent or higher processor
- 128 MB of system RAM for 2000/XP, 64 MB RAM for 98/Me
- 1.8 GB available hard disk space
- 4x speed or faster CD-ROM drive
- 8 MB video card required
- Sound card, speakers or headphones required for audio
- Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
- 56.6 Kbps or better modem for online play

The 7600GT has 12 Active Pixel Processing Pipelines, while the 7900GS has 20 or 24 Active Pixel Processing pipelines, IIRC. That means the 7900GS can push nearly double the amount of pixels at any given clock speed.

Also, the 7900 GS has a 256bit memory bus, while the 7600 has a 128. Lets say at 1.5Ghz, the 7600 memory had 50GB/s of bandwidth, the 7900 could do 100GB/s of bandwidth.

Taking these into considerations, the 7900GS can run at lower speeds, still while maintaining a healthy performance lead.

The 79xx series will always beat the 76xx series

Hope that clears some things up

If your looking for a $200 card you should be looking at the 7900GT.

the 7600GT only has 12 pixel pipelines and a 128 bit memory bus compared to the 7900GS which has 20 pixel pipelines and a 256 bit memory bus. hence why the 7900gs outperforms the 7600gt even though it has lower clock speeds

The 7900GS will smoke two 7600GT's in SLI.

Take a look at Tomshardware VGA Charts. Select two video cards to compare and then the benchmark. It will tell you all you need to know.

id also like to point out that if you can find it, an eVGA KO edition card has better cooling than those with reference model cooling
