Thanks capper and hitman, I would have liked to get the 7600gt first but I'm tired of waiting to get this computer up. Hopefully I'll be able to upgrade the PS and video card before too long. Since I can still wack you both in CS:S it will do for now. :)

Oh man, I wish I would have seen this earlier. I would have recommended sticking with a 128 bit 6600 or an x600 or x700 The 7300 will be ok to hold you over as long as you keep the settings down! ![]()

to help balance things out, you can put css in dx8 mode and put the settings on high :P gpu load goes down while graphics kinda go up a little bit, as dx8 and 9 can pretty much use the same textures, just lighting quality goes bleh... and to help in css, open the console and type these r_mmx r_sse r_sse2 r_3dnow those are cpu optimations and should speed the game up somewhat Opteron 64 165--1.5GB DDR--ECS KA1 MVP(thanks HL!)--x1800GTO 256MB--Seagate 320GB SATA--Antec 550 Watt--Antec P180

The 7300GT I bought is 64 bit :( I didn't know they made 128 bit for about the same price or I would have bought that. Too late now my account has been charged and I can't change it. I'll get a better card later and this can be a backup card then or I'll find someone that needs a card and give it to them.

| Silence..Or I kill you! | Dang joker, I do believe that you can delete your purchase at newegg!!! I think if you go to your account, and look up your recent purchases that it will show that it hasn't been shipped yet, and you can cancel the current purchase. Money wise, it will not reimburse you until sometime tomorrow, but it will cancel the order. Then you can go and get the card that you would rather have. It will of course charge your card or what ever you had again with the new amount, but you will get credit for the first purchase, usually within the first business day. |

Unfortunately it has gone past that point. The cancel order button went away when it was successfully charged.
