99% of the time, if you're upgrading your GPU, the old one (and drivers) are
outdated and need or should be upgraded as well. I make it a habit to remove the old driver whether they have been in for just a couple of days or a couple of years. It's a good habit to get into. A few extra minutes of your time now can save you a lot of heartache later, if something goes awry.

Agreed, I would even say 99.9% of the time.
