Either Blake or I (sometimes both) make this same comment every time this question comes up. Dual Card solutions are cool to have, but their real world benefits are limited by the monitor you have.

If you just want to run multiple monitors, both graphics cards do not have to be the same. For example you could have a 7900GT and a 7600 GT in the same machine. Both cards will handle 2 monitors each, for a total of 4 monitors.

HAHA, yep! But with nVidia pushing SLI like no tomorrow and CrossFire becoming easier and more compatable everyday, it's no wonder people are curious about the whole thing. I mean think about it from the GPU companies' point of view, why sell one card when you can sell TWO?!

Yep, 3 is indeed very close. Very useless in my honest opinion, but very close nonetheless.

You right Dawg! Oh yeah I can't blame them for pushing SLI.

That's a scary thought. But at least the game developers are making things compatable and able to at least attempt to use all that GPU computing power. I wish the same could be said about games concerning dual core (and quad core) processors.
