| socket 939 junkie | the HD4870 is faster than the GTX260 as reviewed here, plus its $100 cheaper to boot right now the best value is the HD4850. $200 gets you a card that outpaces the 9800GTX in almost all benchmarks. $300 will get you a card thats faster than the GTX260 so really it all comes down to how much you are willing to spend. tighter budget, go for the 4850. have a little more to spend, go for the 4870. you cant lose either way ![]() |

| and $400 gets you my 9800GX2! lol, honestly the 4850 running by itself at 1920 X 1200 was ok, bout the same as a GTS G92 tbh. I was running one single card for a few days, wasn't anything spectacular. In crossfire, it runs the resolution great. |
