does the 845 support D805? If it does, no need to buy other stuff like ddr2 + mobo.

IF it is supported, grab the D805 and a better PSU. Then when you get the money again, go grab a 7600gs or x800pro. Then the last upgrade ideas would be another 512 stick of pc3200 or mabye a larger, faster HDD.

i845 was the P4 S478 chipset... or S423, I can't remember.

In this case, there are two choices. Get a completely new pc or do a cheapo upgrade of what you've got.

However, the cheapo upgrade will still cost you alot since you'd have to buy a psu, cpu and videocard.
