Omega drivers, back when he first started putting them out, made the difference between playable frame rates or not. This was around the MX400 days IIRC. I'd pick his drivers before any other custom driver set.

Thanks Panda. I'll try these out when I get home.

I will take a look at these as well. My X1950 seems a bit wonky - maybe these drivers will help it.

interesting.... I saw this line here:

Updated some old card names to the new ones designated by ATI. For example some 9600 cards are now identified as x1050, etc.

So does this mean my 9600XT is the same as a 1050XT? or did he just name them this way in his drivers so they are still supported???? I have never heard this before.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

When I used official ATi drivers under vista, my card was labeled as 9600XT / 1050XT. So I guess so.

Oh yeah, I forgot, omega's doing vista x64 nVidia drivers also. From what I've seen, they're pretty sexy.

In my past experience with Omega his drivers mostly excel in image quality without loss of performance along with better stability with the current applications/games on the market.

Im glad to see he is back. The guy is brilliant and deserves to be recognized as a true asset to our community.
