I have to agree. It's always better to go with a single card the 2 lesser cards in SLI.

I can vouch for the X1950 series (except mine is PCIe x16)... with my system every single game has been as high of settings as it will take including Supreme Commander, all at 1440x900

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Don't get that memory or case/PSU. Up the memory brand to G. Skill at least.

Get a PSU by Fortron (FSP Group) and nice case, like the Centurion 532.

- Core 2 Quad Q6600
- DFI Infinity 975X
- 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800
- 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM
- ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB
- Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W
- Acer 19" P191W Monitor
- Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution
- Vista Ultimate x64
