With AMD in the market place it could very well happen. Besides their less of a monopoly than Microsoft.

..But, how many of the governments computers are running windows or even pirated versions of windows?

I have no idea what the government is running. I doubt that you will see much of a antitrust case simply because there are other choices. AMD for chips and ATI for graphics is a lot more of a choice than you get with a OS. I still think it's bad though and I don't see any way that it can't happen unless the price for Nvidia is too high.

Theres a lot more to it than that, and it would be hard to say it is a monopoly. If they can't break up Microsoft, then I don't ever see them breaking up INTEL and its divisions.

??? That makes no sense.
First of all, i'd be willing to bet Linux based systems are right there with Windows based systems in our government. Second of all, I doubt you'll see much pirated software at the government level.
Lastly, if you are implying that the government is in some way paid off to use M$ or protect its status....its like that with all large corporations, its called SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS......or lobbyists

I don't know, but I know the military uses Linux on some of their computers..most? I just don't think the US would break up such a huge company like microsoft...

Of course the government won't break up Microsoft. There is nothing to be gained by killing the golden goose.

LMAO....where do you get your information? Sometimes you speak of things as fact, or at least make it sound that way, and you never elaborate where you get your "facts".

You talk about M$, and their 13 divisions not being broken up by the government, then talk about INTEL and a monopoly......what would be different about INTEL adding nVidia?

They wouldn't break up Intel either. That's a totally ridiculous idea.

Edit: Ludicrous, too. Haha XD

Not break up, but prevent Intel from buying nVidia
