I hope you understand the forums linking issue, we relaxed it a bit awhile back, and it got abused big time, so we're back to no linking....although I totally understand you are trying to help someone out. the spirit of the rules is to prevent constant linking to other computer fourms (XS, OC Forums, MPC Forums) mainly because things turn ugly pretty quick, and because we are trying to build our own community here.
