From the couple of mATX motherboards I've used with onboard graphics, you can't really disable the graphics like you can an audio or ethernet controller. Essentially what you do is just change the boot order. Right now it is set up to try and boot from a PCI graphics card. Since there is none installed, it goes on to your AGP slot where it finds your 7600GS and then goes with that. So by setting it to first look for a video source on the AGP port, it doesn't even bother to start up the onboard video because it found a monitor attached to the AGP card first, not the onboard video.

Ah, right, I gotcha.....Damn, so that isn't the reason my graphics card isn't working then?

So, what are my options left? I was going to try and uninstall the drivers (again, for the 10th time!!) but afterwards run a clean-up program to get rid of whatever is left after its been uninstalled. Any clean-up programs you can recommend?

I'm not sure if that will solve your problem or not; it may, but unlikely.

As for cleaners, Driver Cleaner seems to be one of the more popular apps.

If that is the case, where is the problem to most likely to be?

I bought this PSU to make sure enough power went to the card... SV 550w SilentLoad 20 & 24+SATA PSU ---

...did I miss something? I just don't like the thought of wasting money even if its not a great amount.

If it isn't the Power, Drivers, BIOS or the Card itself...whats left?

well from what i can gather, that psu probably isnt the best . . . I mean figuring that the GBP to the USD is about 40-56 bucks and it being one of those semi-offbrand power supplies, where as more common and bigger named psu's run anywhere from 70-150 (which is like 40-75 GBP) for that wattage. So it could be the power supplies fault, something could be wrong with it, but dont quote me on this, its just a guestimate.

While im still thinking, did someone recommend you this psu or did you just search for a cheap one to replace the other 300W?

Although that PSU does look pretty iffy, It's probably still got enough power for a 7600GS.

Can you run other 3D applications like any version of 3DMark or rthdribl?
Also, right click the "My Computer icon and select "Properties from the menu. Then click the "Hardware" tab, then "Device Manager". Are there any big yellow Question Marks (?) by anything (which would indicate a driver or the device is not working correctly)?

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

Maybe, but that's also the same thing I thought of when reading this thread. My concern here is an ailing/struggling +12V rail, let alone an exaggerated wattage claim.

The PSU may or may not be the end culprit here, but I'd definitely consider it a leading suspect.

I just wanted to upgrade the PSU, I saw that one on offer and thought it was a bargain...so would you guys recommend something like this?
Xilence ATX2.0 480w PSU --- power psu, xilence atx20 480w psu, atx red from aria .co. uk

So, I'm going to have to exchange this PSU? (I'm thinking of the farce I had trying to get it into the sodding PC)

I've ran the rthdribl program easily, the GPU hit 51 degrees at its highest point and gradually came back down.

If you prefer to buy from that particular website, the only power supplies I would recommend buying that they list would be these two:
Enermax Liberty 400W
Seasonic S12 430W
