To each his own. But I must disagree on the fade part, the panels made since 2005 have a 1/2 life of 50,000 hours (1/2 life means that the brightness will start to fade at 50,000 hours of use) By the time my panel reaches 50,000 hours i will be itching to buy anew panel...maybe OLED or laser.

I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review

Wouldn't it mean that after 50,000 hours, the brightness is approximately half of what it used to be originally (then only 1/4 of the original brightness will remain after 100,000 hours)?

This is true with "OLD plasma's" but the plasma's made in the last 3 years or so this is NOT a problem!

From what ive seen of plasmas and LCD's I cant see a differnece between the two up to around 42" where the plasma takes it. So from what I can see, plasmas are better for bigger displays. Just my opinion.

Plasmas do look a little better than LCD's........That being said they all have there up's and downs.
Disadvantages
Plasmas= glare, weight, cost, heat, hight energy consumption
LCD= weight, contrast compared to plasma, cost, screen size not as big as others
DLP= size, cant wall mount, contrast compared to plasmas, some sets will need a bulb replacement
Front projector= "Ambiet light" you need the right room for this setup

Advantages
Plasma= color, size, pitcher, better viewing angle
LCD= low energy consumption
DLP= Price, size,
Front projection = "SIZE" more of a real Theater feel, celing mounted it doen't take up any space, price, did I say SIZE!!
