I am using a 32" lcd and every thing seems to be fine. Although my GPU does struggle a bit on Oblivion @ 1360 x 768. But will a slight overclock and putting up with a bit of slowdown, I can happily play for hours. Half-Life 2 looks amazing and runs really smoothly. The only problem with using native resolutions on a large display is text etc appears very small. But upping the DPI solves this problem.

I use my 50" plasma, however I rarely play games, but when I have they looked pretty damn good.

Very risky with a plasma. They can image burn in less than an hour.

myth, you get some retention, but with some normal veiwing it goes away in ~ 15 min. I have owned this plasma for 2 years and I use it quite frequently for surfing for hours at a time and never had a problem.

Interesting. Another urban myth shown the back door.

From the way some people go on, you would think it was a permanent problem. Maybe they posted moments after it happening,

When plasmas first came out burn in was a big problem, anymore though it is a nonissue, with advances in panel technology.
I wont own an LCD, because the plasma creates such a better picture. I currently own a 42" panny plasma and a 50" panny plasma.

its hard to find a plasma now for 1080p. I am however tempted to buy the 50 inch panasonic plasma 720p only but its going for 1200

I am pro LCD. You might lose a little performance in display quality but you save a shed load in cash and they last a lot longer before they start to fade. Dont get me wrong, I would buy a plama if I was fairly rich, but for now LCD is more than fine. The picture quality is fantastic.

If you sit further than 6 feet away from the Television there is no difference between 1080p and 720p. I have both and I think my 720 has a better picture than my 1080.
Also you might check bestbuy, I was there the other day and they had the new Panny's out and they had both 720 and 1080p sets and they are a boatload cheaper than when I got my first plasma.
