| I wonder wich PCI-E spec this uses... The current one is 75watts per the main PCI-E slot, and 75 watts per each aditional power connector. That would be 225watts max power draw then On the new upcoming spec its 150watts for the main PCI-E slot, and 75watts for each aditional power connector for a maximum of 300watts power draw.. I REALLY hope its on the current PCI-E spec Opteron 64 165--1.5GB DDR--ECS KA1 MVP(thanks HL!)--x1800GTO 256MB--Seagate 320GB SATA--Antec 550 Watt--Antec P180 |

| Modder-ator | This whole power thing is getting totally out of control. That's why I am not excited about this next generation of cards. I think the only good thing that will come out of it will be lower prices on the current crop of cards. |

I'm not too excited either. You know, there's just so much power I like to have in my computer. I don't like disadvantages such as not being able to wash my clothes or the dishes in the dishwasher if i'm playing games on my computer. That or not having money to eat each day, deciding to pay the electricity bill. ![]() | |

| hahaha. As you guys have all said, if the next gen cards use all this power, there is really nothing to get excited over. It would waste so much energy. I'm only hopeing for some price drops on current cards. | BTW, the watercooling thing is true. The G80 has a watercooling edition as well, but I can't remember where I read it. - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 |
