Yes, started out with 7900gt's then built a 8800GTX SLI system. Never had a problem with either, but now I have a spider set up with dual 3870 X2's runnin in cross-fire. I have to admit the graphics with the ATIs just look better. In COD4 the golden weapons honestly look PIMP!

I play games at 1920x1200 and I doubt I will ever bother with a dual card setup (be it CrossFire or SLI). Just not really cost effective in the long run for me. If more games showed more of an improvement over what single cards currently offer performance-wise, then I might think about it. But for now, I don't even bother considering it.

No SLI on my current rig. I'll be doing it when I build my "Ultimate PC" however.

My ancient CRT is rocking 1024x768, so definately no need for SLI here.

I run fake SLI, does that count?
Honestly I see a difference from when I was using my EVGA 8800GTS to my EVGA 9800GX2. Is it worth the $$? Course not, but I was able to step up to it for 240 bucks which gives me "SLI" while running a P35 chipset. Games do run smoother at 1920 X 1200, but its still quirky and ofcourse with all SLI, multi-display is still bugged @_@.

You get SLI for 1920x1200 (24" monitor) or more, you get Crossfire for dual monitors.
Thats the way I see it. And If I ever were to go dual cards, it'd be with ATi cards, 3870's or an X2.

Does crossfire let you run multiple monitors and also use crossfire, without a restart? That's the main reason I didn't like using the 7600gt's in sli, since I would have to restart to turn it on.

It's also the reason I've been using a pair of 1800's on an nvidia board for a little while now... just as fast, with no crossfire, and I get all 3 monitors (although that 2nd 1800 doesn't get to do crap besides displaying the desktop, lol.)

No SLI for me. I just can't justify it. I'd rather have the overclocking capability of the P35 chipset anyway, and a 9800GX2 is way out of my price range. I think my 8800GT will be just fine for anything I need to do for at least a few years.
