| BFG states you void their warranty if you do that. Even if you put on a BFG Waterblock lol |

| I'm Diggin it! | I've heard BFG has wonderful and totally committed customer service. But their warranty leaves something to be desired over EVGA's IMHO. Hell, if you combined BFG's customer service with EVGA's warranty, you'd have a video card juggernaut! | I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | On paper, no, you're not allowed to remove the stock cooler. However, if you retain your parts and put the original back on, you're very unlikely to be met with any hassle, provided you don't physically damage the card (which will void the warranty for all manufactures). Back when I thought my BFG card was defective (turned out it wasn't), they issued an RMA number and never asked for a proof of purchase, whether or not I OC'd, or whether the stock cooler had been removed. Quick, friendly, non-automated, and best of all, hassle-free. Of course, YMMV, but mine's been pretty consistent. That's not a knock against either EVGA or XFX either, both of which also offer true lifetime warranties. |

| Modder-ator | I tried to RMA a 6800GT back to XFX without the original heatsink and they just sent it right back to me saying they don't cover modified cooling. But like Paul said, if you put the original cooler back on as if it were never removed, it would probably be ok. |

| I'm Diggin it! | EVGA would also have sent your card back to you. Their warranty also says the stock device must be reinstalled. | HL's Technomancer | From what I know Leadtek is another alias for Foxconn, which is a massive OEM dealer overseas. Decent products, just don't expect good service when dealing with them. One manufacturer I haven't heard of in a long time is Galaxy, whatever happened to them? |

| T-Rex | They still exist. I guess they just don't have the same output as bigger OEMs, therefore unable to take a decent part of the market. |

| Colonel Calamity | We need a list of companies based on products (GPU, motherboard, hard drive, etc) with something as simple as a 10 point type scoring for a bit better overall view... this way companies like Gainward may have been great some years ago but the recent events can show where the problems really are.. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. |
