Ditto, and for the same reasons listed.

I remember cussing Catalyst, so it took some time to actually grasp the idea of not just ATI making drivers that don't suck, but to the CCC doing something productive. Only worked with the 2900 and 3870's, so I really am ignorant at what other ATI cards end up with while using CCC.

The early 3870's had locks in them, which might appear to be CCC's fault. However, newer 3870's don't have these odd limitations and are open to what they can actually handle. VisionTek is also my ATI brand, as others seemed to be really wild in what you end up getting. After VisionTek got the newer versions out, tried Asus, HIS, and MSI to no luck getting an actually updated version. VisionTek and Sapphire seem to be the ringers. Only brought up and on topic since CCC was being talked about really, and the version of the card means more than the CCC app IMO.

Yeah then again, if at least CCC installed on a french OS for once. Last time I used a CCC that installed properly on a rig I worked on (in the thousand likely) it was back in Catalyst 6.XX. Then again it might have been an english WinXP. :P
