Wow, you guys are really goin' at it with the discussion! Very very good info to read.

Excellent review Paul! How do you like the 9800GTX compared to your other video card you had before? (i believe it was an HD 3870?)

Edit:
Holy cow, the 3870X2 can be had for $317 after MIR now???
Thats the next GPU upgrade for me! And it'll be even cheaper after the 4850/4870/4870X2 comes out....

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

A formal review of the HD 3870 is forthcoming, and will be the next videocard review post. After that, we have a couple of budget entries, and an AGP solution.

In the meantime, minus the overclocking experience on the HD 3870, you can see how the benchmark compares in the 9800GTX review (the EN9800GTX was pitted against the 320MB G80 8800GTS and HD 3870).

Im happy with my 8800GTS 512mb, I got it for £167 which wasnt much more than the 8800GT so i'd thought I'd go for it. But theres a part of my that wishes that i'd bought a cheaper HD 3870 and put the extra towards a new monitor. This CRT is starting to drive me insane, messing with the settings for 10 minutes every time I change the resolution.
