Mine says some funny stuff aswell, maybe I need an update. The specs are all right in the BIOS but half the software to monitor clock speeds ect (not all of them) say im using an E6700 and I have a 10x multiplier. The worst culprit is gigabytes own ETC.

Ordering a second one in 2 weeks.

It's a no brainer for me ,upgrading from 2 -8800GTS 320's (NOT G92'S)
Should be a nice boost.
actually I don't think it would. one single GTX isn't faster then 2 GTS's (even with G80 core) in SLI. don't forget what was said in this thread earlier - the 9800GTX is a slightly OC'd version of the 8800GTS (G92 core). you would have actually less RAM (512MB vs 640MB) and 256bit bus width vs. 2x320bit... if you need more power, just OC those GTS cards and wait for something that is a real step up.

Main rig:
Chieftec modded case,MSI P4N Diamond, D830@3.48Ghz,1.4V,928FSB
2GB patriot Extreme Performance 6400@900Mhz, 4-4-4-17
Inno3D 7900GT@542Mhz/1.6Ghz, Thermalright SI-97
Samsung 320GB, Maxtor 250GB; Antec 500W
Swiftech NB, Asus StarIceBlue CPU cooler; XP Pro

Laptop: Dell XPS 1530 (T7500; 3GB 667 RAM; 160GB 7200rpm HDD; 8600GT; Vista 32bit)

He has two 8800GTS 320MB cards not 640MB.
The GTX will beat the GTS 320's.

And BTW, when you put cards in SLI for instance two 8800GTS 320MB cards, that doesn't mean you now have 640MB of video memory and a 2x320bit interface. Thats not how SLI works, both of the cards are fed information and they both work together to produce the graphics power required.

Put it this way, would you rather hike up half dome with a 50lb. backpack by yourself, or with a buddy to share the load and take 25lb. off your back and hike up with you?

IMO, SLI is a waist of money unless your running anything bigger than a 24" LCD.
One High end card is better than to low end cards.. (unless of course you've got money's to burn and want two or three high end cards).

I have hiked up 1/2 Dome and I wouldnt carry 75 lbs. Go light and carry ~ 25lbs.

I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review

I agree with sbohdan, I think the 2 8800GTS would be better or very near prefromance.

so by the comparison onebxr is saying, get a X1950GT and don't even worry about SLI or the latest 8800s (joking)

Thanks HL and Corsair!
