Why would you want a 8800GTS 320MB though?
Grab a 8800GT, some will run you like $180 after rebate. Then overclock the hell out of it. :P

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

1) no cash for any upgrade right now

2) I am running with a X1950GT so anything DX10 is better than what I have now

3) I tend to go for more of the budget parts like this as there is very little gain in spending that extra $65 relating to the few games I play

And this is how you ended up with a X1950GT. :P

At the time the 8800s were running close to the $400 range so this was a good $125 card that had reasonable performance...

I'm just messing with you screwbie. I think you should wait though for the 9800GTX to start selling a lot then the 8800's will go even lower and you can probably snag a GT or even GTS 512 for even cheaper. 8800GT probably for ~$150 no MIR soon.

Will this effect me when I step-up to the 9800GTX? Or does eVGA honor the price that you paid for it?
Do you think it's really worth it for me to step-up?
The main reason I am thinking of doing it is because of the better stock cooler and the little bit of extra graphics power.

@screwball, I agree with PB, wait for the 9800's to start selling and when the prices drop you should get a GT or GTS G92

eVGA takes the price you paid for it in US dollars, not the price it's worth now.
What are you thinking of stepping up to?
For me the step-up window is closed, but eVGA has this 120 step up program enabling me to get a 9800GX2. I got until April 7th to think about it, haha.

Good, I paid $230 for it, and I've sent in the $30 MIR too.
I'm thinking of stepping up to the 9800GTX. I've got till June 3rd to step up with the 90 day program.
So it'll be around $100 to step up if I did it right now, but if I wait a month or two the price might come down a bit.....

Lol, you better make your decision soon man, I say go for it!!
