9600 GT 3DMark06 and pics

If the 9800GT runs on the G92 core it will be pretty lame... They talk about "some modifications" but there's little to be done except stop laser cutting those pipelines. *shrugs*
It will end up being a somewhat small upgrade to the 8800GT, likely a slightly higher core/shader/mem clock, and a few pipelines more. Kind of what the new 8800GTS is to the 8800GT.

its kinda funny, the 9600GT has similar specs to what i envisioned the 8600GTS (Ultra anyone?) having until nvidia crushed those dreams with a 128 bit memory bus and a measly 32SP upon the release of the actual product.

well the 9800GX2 is suppose to go along the lines of the 3870x2 with 2 GPU on 1 for 3way SLI of 6 GPUs lol (why you need that much is BEYOND me)

It's hard to even imagine why you need 3, let alone 2 being quite unnecessary most of the time. Some people just have too much money on their hands. :/

Well, the 9600gt's are out in force...Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

I must say, with gigabyte's 8800gt only 200 dollars, it doesnt make a ton of sense to go with a 9600gt instead, but then again, I haven't paid too much attention to the performance of the 9600gt yet.
