Nvidia has done a recall on a bunch of the 8800gtx cards. I guess one of the contract partners installed the wrong resister in the boards! They are recalling the gtx cards to have the correct part installed

Now how did that 600+ bucks work for people that bought the cards

EWiz is one of the best kept secrets in the e-tailer world, IMO. I've ordered from them on more than a few occasions without issue, when the pricing has outdone the competition. For a current example, at $100 shipped they're the cheapest place around for a black Thermaltake Armor Jr. chassis (LINK), checking in at $15 less than ZipZoomFly (Newegg doesn't carry it anymore).

As it pertains to this thread however, if not because of the recall, I would speculate that the listing wasn't meant to go live just yet. I've seen Newegg and a few others practice similar listing habits in the past. Either that, whatever stock they may have had was quickly gobbled up by benchmarking enthusiasts with heavy wallets.

Oh One4, don't get me wrong man, I have done business with them also! As a matter of fact, I have a commercial reseller account with them.

I do think that what happened was the big recall on all of the 8800gtx boards. Its all over the net about that problem

I would be weary of that, I think it's supposed to be an X1900XT 256MB, not an X1950XT...
