Yeah, RTHDRIBL is going to be the best way to heat up your graphics card and still view temperatures real-time.

Just because it's the best, doesn't mean it can play everything at max. I don't know if you remember, but there were some games being released a few years ago, that at the time, even the most expensive setups couldn't play. Few years ahead, and those games are easily run by cheaper setups.

"my 8800gtx could be A LOT better". No. Your 8800GTX will not be a lot better. It will be a tad better. I'm talking about a couple FPS here, and a couple FPS there. Sure, you'll see your 3dMarks go up but remember that it's a synthetic test and your real world performance WILL BE DIFFERENT.

Please spell out your words correctly if you don't mind, things like "cuz, and kno" can be a little off at times.

We really try to help everyone that joins, but again please try to spell correctly as this will help people believe that we are an upstanding hardware site

At 1600x1200, the 8800GTX should be able to play nearly everything with very high quality settings (AA, AF, HDR, etc) with smooth framerates. What game are you lagging on? Have you looked at your framerates?

Oh. One more thing, if you are playing these games online, the stuttering you are experiencing could be network/internet lag.

Default Re: RESOLUTION!

I choose not to play anything online right now because the only game im interested in playing would be bf2142 but it doesnt work due to my sound card which i dont know how to unable... Sorry if im off topic but if it involves resolution i think it's fine for me to bring in resolution and video card performance... Next time ill post a new thread for diff topics... Well i play at 1600x1200 i dont get much lag but at times oblivion seems to be a little sketchy... This is where i wanna know if resolution effects lag which i know it does but with the 8800gtx i would definitely doubt it.

Default Re: Lagging with 8800GTX?

Again, what are your framerates like while you are playing?
The poor performance might also be due to the fact Vista isn't very mature yet, especially nVidia's Vista drivers.
