Return it and get a sweet new LCD screen. That's an upgrade you'll actually notice. And If you already have one, get a second. And if you already have two, well then right off.

well the main thing is to SLI the GT which would come out to be at least 150 dollars cheaper than SLI the GTS lol. With the GTS at 375 MSRP and GT at whats suppose to be 240, you'll be saving the $$ from there lol

just a little follow up, couldn't resist trying the card again since BB this week's got it for 250 + my 12% coupon to knock it down to 220. Ironically, Crysis optimal settings is high and it runs it very smoothly, but it still runs WoW and Orange Box with low frame rates. Usin Rivatuner to control the fan speed, but i still dont know why WoW runs at 30-40 fps with choppiness while Crysis runs flawlessly. My GTS can only run Crysis at mix of med and high.

Anyone getting the GT's may want to look into some after-market cooling solutions right off the bat. EVGA forums are covered with complaints about these cards overheating and frying due to the reference design cooler not being able to keep the GPU cool enough.

It's hard to believe your getting worse performance with an 8800GT compared to an 8600GS. Are you sure you correctly uninstalled and reinstalled the diver?

worse performance than an 8800GTS OC not a 8600GS. Im just sayin the frame rates were basically the same as my 8600GS that i have on my notebook. Crysis runs fine, its just WoW wont render correctly, can only think its the drivers.

Are you using the Nvidia Beta drivers?

Double check the driver version. If it is less than 163.75 for Vista 64-bit or 163.75 for XP 32-bit, then you need to update. And don't forget to uninstall the old driver before you install the new one!
