8800GTS Vs. 8800GT linked user review

I just ordered an EVGA 8800 GT Superclocked 512mb this afternoon.
Standard ship from NJ. Should get here before the end of the year.


EDIT: Just got an email from the company I ordered the card from. Asked me if I would be willing to have a 2 day wait on my order. Apparently these things are a hot item at the moment. How many 'net retailers would do that instead of just putting you on a wait list with no notice. So props from me to Antares Computing, Inc. for their concern. They just went up a couple of notches on my list.

You should do that anyway, Yellow. The 8800GT is will blow that card out of the water, think of the performance between the current 8800GTS and the 8800GTX.

just picked up the BFG 8800GT OC from bestbuy (couldn't resist). Didn't get a chance to test it since the woman dragged me out for dinner (damn her!!). Still sealed in the box till i get home from work to play around. Hopefully there's a significant improvement that i'll probably be sellin my 8800GTS =D

Yeah, Newegg has been out of them prettymuch since they were made available. These things are selling like crazy (not hard to see why though)!

My system can't even take advantage of the GTS I have now, a GT wouldn't show any increase for me. This card has to be the best midrange GPU NVIDIAs ever come out with, AMD's really taking broadsides off both bow and stern now.

I'm betting you see more of a difference in the higher resolutions. The GT should be a decent move if you've not been overclocking your GTS.

well just been 1 hour on WoW, but the 8800GT actually puttin out lower FPS than the 8800GTS i had. 8800GTS is factory OCed, so probably the difference, but so's this 8800GT. Gonna play around with it a little more, but nothing im seein thats screaming "omg gotta keep it"
