| One thing I just remembered is that if I set the tv as the main monitor and then boot, I DO see it post. Its just when it loads windows that it loses signal. intel core 2 quad q9450 2.66ghz @3.17(for now) cell shock DDR3 2gb(2x1bg) 1800mhz @1805 ASUS P5E3 PREMIUM/WIFI-AP @n LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX mobo PC Power and cooling 750 watt PSU Thermaltake Xaser VI Aluminum ATX Full Tower Case Thermaltake V1 Max-Performance CPU Cooler EVGA GeForce 8800GTS KO 640MB WD raptor 75gbx2 (raid 0 array) WD raptor 150gb seagate barricuda 7200 rpm 500gb WD caviar 7200rpm 320gb LG 20x DVD burner sony 16x dvd burner |

| Colonel Calamity | there is an option in the nvidia settings that says something like "click here if your TV is not detected" and it may be set to NTSC instead of PAL or vice-versa.. thats the only thing I can think of... ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | I guess I don't really have a solution for this, but I ran into a somewhat similar problem. I have a 19" viewsonic crt as my main monitor, and I wanted to use my 32" sanyo hdtv as an extended monitor for things like video editing and Supreme Commander. I bought this little adapter to convert DVI to analog component video for my old x850 a year or so ago. Now my logic says that it should work fine on the 8800gts just like it did with the x850, but I was having the same problems as you, no picture at all, even though the control panel said the T.V. was there. Eventually I went to radio shack and bought a 30$ DVI to HDMI converter, and it works great. Don't know if that's an option for you though. dual core E6600 Geforce 8800GTS Asus P5W DH Deluxe Motherboard OCZ Gamextreme 600w PSU OCZ Platinum DDR2 800 2Gigs 250 Gig 7200 RPM WD Harddrive OCZ GameXStream 600w |
