I don't know how the warranty plays out in your country, but here in the states, both companies offer a lifetime backing on their products, provided you register the card within 30 days of purchase. Both also officially allow you to overclock their cards and/or swap out the stock heatsink/fan for a third party solution without voiding the warranty, provided you don't physically damage the card in the process.

Evga offers a Step-Up program, which gives you the opportunity to trade-in your card within 90 days for a faster/newer model. XFX does not.

XFX offers a 'double lifetime warranty,' meaning you can transfer your warranty to a second owner should you sell or give away your videocard. Evga does not.

From a quality and customer service standpoint, that will depend entirely on whom you ask.

I cant seem to find eVGA in my country, but XFX is everywhere.

Ill ask the store on the Warranty issue but I dont think they will gave as much leeway as they give in US

Apart from that, is there a difference performance wise between eVGA and XFX cards ?

No, not in and of itself. But that will depend on the specific model you choose. Both companies offer several different versions of each card, with different clockspeeds. So if you compare a factory overclocked XFX 8800GT to a stock clocked Evga 8800GT, then the XFX will be faster.

BTW, this wouldn't be handled by the store, but by the company itself (Evga, XFX, BFG, etc). You may want to email each company's sales support prior to purchase to see how the warranty applies in your country.

XFXforce
Evga
BFG Tech - Home

My guess is that the stores over here provide 1 year warranty only.

To clarify, the manufacturer offers a warranty separate from the store you purchase the card from. Even if your local computer shop offered no warranty at all, the card will still carry a manufacturer's warranty. I imagine XFX, Evga, and BFG offer this worldwide, but you want to contact them prior to purchase to verify.
