| I agree with Justin, I new PSU will probably solve your problems. I have a Silverstone PSU, and I love it, so I second the Silverstone recommendation. Also, this is a good choice as well: PC Power and Cooling make some GREAT PSU's and I bet you'll be fully satisfied with it. | Hi people I just thought I would let you know that I have replaced my psu with a new atx micro psu 300w. However I am sad to say that I am still having this problem with texturing tearing in games like medal of honor pacific assault and gta san andreas. I have tried installing the latest drivers including those that came on the cd and they don't work, at the moment I have 163.71_forceware_winxp_32bit_international_whql installed and I have tried, 91.33_forceware_winxp2k_english and 95.97_forceware_winxp2k_quadroplex_english. Surfices to say I am completely fustrated I welcome your solutions also I have via_hyperionpro_v513a installed as well and that also did not fix the problem. I do not get this graphical problems with doom3 or rome total war both games obviously needing highly detailed graphics and textures. I look forward to hearing from you. ![]() CPU:AMD Athlon 1.8GHz Board:KM266-8233 Memory:1GB Video Card:Nvidia Geforce 7600 GS AGP8X (256mb on board memory) HDD:Samsung SV8004H Case:Advent Cooling:Master Cooling Fans Operating System:Windows XP Professional service pack2 |

| Colonel Calamity | I would try uninstalling then reinstalling the games to see if that helps. If it still continues, I would check into a program called memtest86 and let that run overnight while you sleep. If that checks out then you likely need a new video card. If it fails then the problem is caused by bad memory. If it continues even after the memory replacement then you definitely have a bad video card. One option is to step into a GT or GTS video card as the GS is the low end budget card. I am not sure what reliable online sales stores there are in the UK but I found these, not sure what your budget would be:
Another suggestion to go to ATI based card, this is the US based newegg but it is the same card as I suggest which is very reasonably priced for a great performing card Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100209L Radeon X1950GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 8X HDCP Ready Video Card - Retail ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair!
