Well I have downloaded to my desktop but before I install it what does the following mean in red for I don't understand the part about windows where the drivers are? Can any explain for me lol

Choose the "Save File" option and save it to your folder under Windows where you file your drivers. Unzip the file. (To unzip the file right click and highlight "Extract All") Then double click on the Setup.exe file to run the installation program. Follow the prompts and restart at the end of the installation

I'm almost sure that you can just exstact it to your desktop and run "setup.exe". Try it and see what happens. Report back.

Well ok did that I installed it but I am not sure that I have installed properly i.e what I mentioned in my last post that was in red. But so far not much difference thats why I need to know where to files like it says in the instructions that I put in my last post that was in red. So please enlighten me as to where to put it so that the drivers are in the right place before I install it again.

Hello again it has been a while but I just thought I would update. First of all as you can see from my specs I recently installed xp professional and whiped my computer clean after obviously backing up all my data first lol. Well first of all let me say that the problem that I had with my 7600 geforce gs still exists. I eliminated all the other possibilities that suggested to me before on here and thanks for those. Is there software that would test the graphics card in relation to its compatability with my mother board? Thanks pandora

I don't know is the answer, do you mean what voltage or what make forgive the ignorance lol. I just wanted if there was some sort of software that would test the graphics card in relation to the compatability with the motherboard so if anyone knows of that then let me know!

Basically open the case, and look at the PSU. It should have a label on the side visible to you with a chart listing it's specifications, such as +3.3v, +5v, +12v, etc. The peak output wattage should also be displayed. Just write down the specs and copy them here. If you don't see the label, unscrew the PSU from the case and check all the sides. Usually OEM manufacturers use really shoddy PSUs, like Deer or Powmax in the 150-250w range. Just enough to power the components in the initial build. Adding something like a new video card may be overdrawing and rendering the problems you have.

that would be your problem. I bet the moment you get a new PSU, your problems will be over. Having a poor quality PSU is not a very wise decision. You can get something cheap, like the fortron sparkle 350watt or the ANTEC earthwatts 380watt psu. Or the silverstone elements/strider 500watt etc. There are many good choices. They all cost $40+ though.
