No really, it's a great chip. Since it's not the biggest in it's class, you can get it for rather cheap and it packs nice features with good performance too.
I'd have to compare the 570 vs 590 performance wise with a few boards to see if it even makes a noticable difference, for the power user but also for the casual user.

Thanks everyone for your views you've been a big help.I think I'm going to go for the DFI board mentioned by One4yu2c,but I'll let you know when I've parted with some hard earned cash

The only difference between the 590 and the 570 is that the 570 has less PCI-E lanes and doesnt support that AUTO OCing thing...Is this correct?

kind of, the 590 SLI has two chips, where the 570 has one

Ah thats right, i believe the second chip adds another 16 PCI-E lines? 8)
