Yeah, I mean at this point, it's probably vastly more expensive to adjust the assembly line than to just wait it out. Since they're testing them before they send the boards out, then I guess there's "technically" not a problem since we're not supposed to be removing the chipset HSF anyway. It is a quality control issue, but of course, they're not sending boards out before testing them. Those that die en route to customers or die because someone removes the IHS aren't related to Chaintech's quality control problem.

When the next revision of the board comes out, they'll probably retool their machines and the crushed chipsets will probably disappear in a few months. I'm just amazed that such a badly damaged chipset can function perfectly, haha!

That's actually quite sad. If multiple users are having it, you could like make a petition or something... Lol.
