My DS3

I always keep my drivers up to date... just installed the latest 7.9 drivers for my X1950GT... and 9600XT on my older machine
everything else is up to date and there haven't been any new or recent driver updates for the GA-965P-DS3 board for awhile now

have you tried running driver cleaner and clearing out all the old drivers?

yes i have... I actually just checked the site for DS3 drivers and I see they recently released some, it was early this month last i checked and most of them were 3-6 months or older at the time.. doubt that will help with my above mentioned issues but it may help elsewhere

what??? 50-52C at 100% load....
you mean my DS3 is running hot, i have a CM Mystique Case with 2 intake front Fan and 1 Output Fan... and my room temp is 60-65C...
i never had *so far* the problem with TS and Voip.
i'm having this odd problems:
1. language bar besides the task bar keeps poping on during startup, i cancelled the startup yet still keeps opening so as the Steam App...
uninstall/fresh install didnt do the magic...

it have been 18 hours of continous Orthos and still the temp is 55-59C, i did reapply and clean my HS over with AC5 and everything is still fine aside from the temp...

i havent have the random restart like i previously mention so far... and i also just update all the drivers... but not the bios...

yes 50-52ºC at 100% load with TAT.. it does go up to 53-55ºC with the side of the case on but that is a bit to warm for my liking

well everything went well, so i might just hang in this mobo for next couple of months until i can shed some dollars after christmas...

orthos went 26 hours with no problem... temp still an issue with hovering at 56-59C at full 100% load 36-45C under 10% load as indicated in my CPU usage....

down here at rockaway everything is humid and foggy, makes pretty sticky situations. trying not to get the mobo another fried circuit,... i wish santa is real so i can wish for a new rig

With all the tiny annoyances I have had, I have decided that sometime in December I will be replacing this board (and a second X1950GT). Right now I am looking at a few different ones, the main thing I am looking for is Crossfire support as the X1950GTs have come down enough to jump on it.
I am trying to keep my price range about the same as what I bought this DS3 for, somewhere around the $80-120 range.

This board has items that are much more compatible than the DS3 options do in Linux. Ubuntu would not load on this DS3, Kubuntu would but was limited to 800x600 and the onboard LAN didn't work....
Fedora Core 7 seems to work well with this board but due to lack of drivers on the video side with any linux distro (X1950GT) I am still pretty much screwed anyways. The problem is that according to all the benchmarks, this single X1950GT beats out anything nvidia has to offer unless you pay at least $50-100 more. The closest ranking single card is the 8600GTS which is still $35 more.

aha I knew I wasn't crazy!!!

its not a P965 but it is a newer P35... so if they did it with the P35s, whos to say it didn't happen with the P965s?
