I use Win98SE boot floppy method (or Asus EZBIOS2 code to flash the BIOS from within the BIOS, but even that makes me nervous so I go DO method).

It was brought up repeatedly, but having another voice echo our concerns is always nice.

I inserted a floppy, clicked on the executable on this site Download BIOS
made it 95% of the way and recieved this error:
Disc error on track 76 head 1
Error in reading Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

It gave me the option to retry, abort or skip...I retried and same thing.
Any ideas as to what that means?
My floppy is a standard Imation 2HD IBM 1.44MB and it is unlocked.

This floppy was "new"...only had a couple words on it , maybe 2 sentences.I erased it/reformatted. All the other floppy media I have ,have alot of stuff on them....jpegs , mpegs etc. Personally im at the point of saying screw it already. The pc works the way it is.
