Just because the pins are bent does not mean the CPU won't work in the socket. When I was a ****, I bent about 8 pins in my LGA socket, and fixed it by bending back the pins with the corner of a razor blade, they didn't quite look right but it still worked, all the pins need to do it touch somewhere on the pad they are lined up with. IF the MB arrived damaged, then TD needs to replace it. HAve you tried to lock the CPU in and power up?

Those pins are not bent, thats how they are supposed to be.

I was just trying to point out that the pins he thinks are bent, might not be, he just thought they were because he is used to seeing straight pins.

UPDATE: Tiger Direct indeed will exchange a damaged motherboard, even when labeled as "no returns" he is expecting the replacement soon and I may even convince him to OC his new rig.
