MY bios is wierd. Tras is before TRP. but w/e. Its working on 2-2-2-7 now.

and is it just me or is my computer reaction time like super fast now. LOL

I hope i'm not stressing my RAM too much. >.< It has a 92mm panaflo on it though, so i think it should be fine.

fps_justin, I suggest trying again with 2.5-4-4-10 2T:

CAS=2.5
tRCD=4
tRP=4
tRAS=10
CMD=2T (command per clock disabled)

You're running a pretty high HTT and those RAM timings seem to be working very well for a bunch of people at very high speeds. I think the VX Gold uses UTT, so you definitely won't be able to run 1:1, but try the timings I suggested and see if you can bump things up a little higher. At the very least, you'll be able to rule out a RAM issue to some degree. I've stuck to those timings pretty much 100% of the time when I was using my Ultra-D. Even if the RAM can handle tighter timings, these DFI boards seem to favor 2.5.4-4-10.

Edit: Also, you may want to try flashing to the latest beta BIOS if you haven't done so already. You can get it here (just the .BIN file) and here (Winflash)

Yeah, but your (and my) PC-4800 RAM has TCCD or TCC5 chips, which are going to perform a lot differently than those power hungry UTT chips in the VX. Everyone I have asked said that loose timings and higher speeds don't really work with those types of RAM. But you are more than welcome to try and let us know how it goes justin; I could very well be wrong!! :thup:

Oh yeah, and I believe he's running on a 3/4 divider, so that RAM really isn't running too out of control for 2-2-2 timings and 3.2V.

Yeah you're right blake, but I figured it would be worth a try anyway. It amazes me how picky these boards can get. Good luck fps_justin! :)
