And, haha yeah I actually would love to learn a lot of parts about the motherboard and other stuff that I don't really know.

You say this is to replace the motherboard in your "old" computer. Are you sure it requires an AMD socket AM2 based motherboard?

All the 3300+ AMD processors are for s754, not AM2....
Athlon64 3300+
AMD Processor Comparison

There are several different processor sockets for the different generation of AMD Athlon64 processors. s754 is the first Athlon64 socket that uses DDR memory, s939 came afterward still using DDR memory, and finally AM2 is the most recent which utilizes DDR2 memory. None of the processors are interchangeable between the sockets, so you have to make sure you get the correct motherboard or else your processor won't even physically fit in the motherboard.

Wait, my bad, the 3300+ is the one I am using atm, lol guess I wasn't thinking.

My old computer has the 3500+ Processor, while my new current one has the 3300+ at the moment.

Well, unfortunately AMD decided to make A LOT of 3500+ processors on every socket available, so you're gonna need to gather a little more information before you buy a replacement motherboard. Could you possibly give us the actual numbers and letters off the processor its self or get a look at the processor socket on the old motherboard?
What exactly did you do to kill the motherboard?

Does it have a square hole in the middle of the socket like this or not?
Click the image to open in full size.

It should also say right on the white plastic part of the motherboard's processor socket what type it is...
