| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | I'd definitely recommend the Gigabyte P35 over the ASUS P35.....and I'd recommend the P35 over the P965 or G33 chipsets (G33 should only be considered as a major budget or entertainment center option). the P35 will be the mainstream option, with the X38 being the enthusiast offering, but you won't see the X38 for another month or so. As to ASUS vs Gigabyte, I'll recommend gigabyte, I've had three bad ASUS boards in a row, and considering the premium they charge for their boards, I'm not impressed with the QC, or customer service. INTEL E8400 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 4GB DDR3-1600 // Palit HD 4870 // Antec 1200 // Seagate 750GB HDD // Zalman CNPS9700 // BFG ES 800W PSU |

| Capper: Do you know how the pricing will be on the X38 chipsets? The Gigabyte DS3R goes for about 160 Canadian. Do you think there will be a budget offering for about that much? ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | No chance....chipsets are tiered for a reason, the P35 will be the mainstream and the X38 will be the enthusiast level. why would a company offer a budget priced X38 to compete with their P35 offerings? Using Gigabyte as an example, they are going to discontinue their P35-DQ6 when they release the X38, so they won't be competing against themselves.
