| If the ASUS Striker Extreme is the same price as the EVGA model, get the ASUS! I have had nothing but good experiences with ASUS, they make kick-ass boards. | Yes, it's good. EVGA is a well-known, and is very good quality. Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 + Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL + Thermalright HR-05 IFX 2GB G.Skill 800MHz F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB Silverstone Decathlon 650W Western Digital 250GB SATA II |

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Flip a coin, and then buy the eVGA 680i A1. Both boards are going to give comparable results (luck of the draw comes into play too), and I'll give the edge to the eVGA for the lifetime warranty (register within 30 days). |

| I have used the ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus (650i chipset) and the ASUS P5ND2 (nForce 4 SLI Intel Edition) motherboards. Both are very good in my opinion. I have used ASUS for every build I have done (I have done two). I have not personally used the Striker, but I have heard that it's really a hit-or-miss type thing, some people love it, some hate it. I have read that if you get a "working" Striker that it's one of the best boards out there. The EVGA on the other hand has a very good reputation (so I've heard; don't have any personal experience with the EVGA board either) and I have read that many people like the EVGA board more than the Striker (like Capper for instance). I have also read that the EVGA board is a better overclocker. Hopfully I cleared up what I was saying. Sorry if it seemed like I owned the boards and was speaking from personal experience. Will definetly try to make my posts clearer next time. | I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Rich has had a handful of awful experiences with Asus products in the last couple of months, and my own experience with their boards in the past have been the opposite. BUT, I can attest to their customer support lagging behind the competition, which is putting it nicely. I'm also not a fan of Asus' website, which quite often (not always) is horrendously slow. If going 680i, I really so no reason to look any further than eVGA's offering... |

| I'm Evil | YH brought up some great issues....... IF you get a WORKING ASUS Stryker its a great board.....IF being a big word. I've always loved ASUS boards, and they have widely been regarded as the best of the best......but their price have become outrageous, and to be perfectly honest, I've had real bad experiences with my last 5 ASUS motherboards.....and their customer service, when they bother replying, is spotty and takes forever........because of that, i won't recommend their products until they get their shit together. | I must agree, ASUS website is horrible. Downloading BIOS updates takes forever. Never had to contact ASUS's customer support, so I can't comment on that.
