Hey man, don't worry about it!
When we first started out (before we started changing our slogan every couple weeks) our motto was "Every enthusiasts starts somewhere". I think that still rings true in the spirit of this forum (at least for me). So don't worry about making mistakes or asking questions because (you guessed it) we all start somewhere! Just try not to post speculation or unreferenced information as fact. If there is any doubt in your mind, either try to find a reliable source to verify the information or post it with a disclaimer; like saying "I've heard that bla bla bla, what do you think?" or "Not sure how accurate this is, but supposedly bla bla bla". I'm not saying you were trying to say that it is a fact the nForce 700 series chipsets don't support Penryn, just something to keep in mind; ESPECIALLY when posting information from more "extreme" sites like Extreme Systems, Fudzilla, The Inquirer, etc...

It's just that I'm just now getting things the way I want them. Gotta break in the hardware ^^.

Oh indeed, I know exactly what you mean. It is often a hastle for me to switch motherboards, especially it one was just recently installed and situated the way I want. You want time to be able to enjoy the hardware!

My "rig" is actually sitting on a test bench full time. So a mobo swap takes about 10 minutes.

It's the phone call to Microsoft I dread.

Tom - (after pushing a lot of buttons and listening to the recorded voice tell me she can't generate a new install number) Hello....I need to activate Windows.

Jahiem - Yes.yes.yes. I can eulped you wid dat. Pease give firs sit of numbah's.

Tom - 123456

Jahiem - pease give hoewel set of nermbuhs.

Tom - 10474783217483127483217947318439214834210923473214 1

Jahiem - Youd ra-ady now?

123456

you geit dhat?

Tom - Yes. Just read them off please.

Jaheim - 796854

you geit dhat?

*sigh*

And then the questions about why I'm needing to register Windows again. This will be my 5th time doing this with a new motherboard for this install of Vista. It had better be my last to. Otherwise, I'm chucking this damned computer room out of the house. And everything in it.

HAHA, I had a copy on WinXP that I had to call in to activate many times, but after like 5 times or so, I haven't had to do it anymore. There might some indicator that you've done it so many times with a certain key that they don't bother asking you anymore.

LOL, I've had to call Microsoft numerous times (for both XP and Vista) and my experience was very similar to yours, Quakin'. Hopefully my Windows installations get to the same point as yours, Blake.
