| Re: ECS Motherboard Help Windows XP Pre SP1 has a 137 GB limit. You should have seen that during the XP install when it showed where things were going. I don't think SP1 is available but SP2 is and should be inclusive.
You may want to read this: How to enable 48-bit Logical Block Addressing support for ATAPI disk drives in Windows XP
Then this: Mosaddique - Working with Large Hard Drives
Scroll down in the second link to: What if I have a hard drive which is greater than 137 GB? That should get you going. As to where to get the updates, just visit Microsoft or likely click Start and choose Windows Update. Forst do the updates then worry about enabling LBA. All of this assumes your install disk was pre SP1. Ron |
