with heatpipes are better than having no cooling measure at all, no matter what chip with you pass electricity it will produce heat...

There is a cooling measure and it's a heatsink. Good airflow should take care of it. Is it really necessary to use heatpipes on chipsets? or is it just for aesthetics?

heatpipes and heatsink it doesnt bother me the end result should justify the means...

Look at the size of the NB HSF unit on that Abit board!
Either that or it's just the angle of the picture that makes
it look way too tall.
