The 7600GT has higher clocks, but everything else is the same.

HERE'S <---(link) that compares them.

7600GS is slower and has slower grade ram. I have the 7600GT and it gets me by. In all seriousness though, if you plan on playing any of the newer games coming out, i'd recommend the 7900GS or the x1950pro at the very least.

E2140 @ 375 x 8 = 3.0ghz
2x1 ocz system 1337s pc2-6400 5-5-5-15 @ 450mhz

eVGA 7600GT Stock
120 gig seagate
ULTRA X-Finity 600w

I think I'll just get the 7600GT cause I don't plan on playing the newer games coming out

At that price point, I think this is better: Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100206L Radeon HD 2600PRO 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

...Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

This is just me personally, but I'd go with Newegg.com - EVGA 256-P2-N751-TR GeForce 8600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail before I went with the ATi version of DX10. The 8600GT performs better in 85% of instances I've found reviews on. Also, it's an EVGA board. As long as you register within 30 days of receiving it, you have an awesome warranty.

The 8600GT also uses GDDR3 instead of the slower GDDR2 on the ATI board. And for only $20 more after MIR.

Q6600@ 3.2GHz w/ CNPS9700 | EVGA 780i | 4Gb Patriot Extreme DDR2-800 5-5-5-12 | EVGA GTX 280 1Gb Video | 1x WD 640Gb HDD, 2x Seagate 400Gb HDD, 1x250Gb WD | 2x Samsung SH-203B Opticals | Antec 900 | ABS/Tagan BZ700 700W PSU | Zalman ZM-MFC1 Fan Controller

That was the exact card/link I was about to recommend.

Great minds think alike. And NO, Joker and Capper, don't say anything
