| By the EVGA one do you mean this one: EVGA 680i SE? It's cheaper at resellers. |

| For Quad-Core support, you need to get a version 1.3 or higher. | A good quality 650I chipset board will work great for your needs........... I've used the 680i LT boards (Nvidia Reff) and 650i SLi MSI boards and the MSI boards beat them in features as well as OC'ing options in the bios. Only draw back to the 650i SLi boards is the 8x SLI setup, but for single video cards they work fantastic. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the price is great as well, here in the US it was at $110 last time I looked. Mountain Mods U2 UFO Chassis / XFX 680 SLi Lt / Intel E6750 / Corsair Dominator PC6400C4D 2 x 1 gig / BFG 8800GT / WD SATAII SE16 250 gig / Lite-On SATA DVD RW / OCZ Game XStream 700w. Cooling: CPU Loop: Thermochill PA120.3 Radiator / Swiftech MCP655 Pump / Swiftech APOGEE GTX / "T" Line GPU Loop: Swiftech MCR120 / Swiftech MCP350 Pump / Swiftech MCW60 / Swiftech Micro Rez. |

| Hi, i got all my parts now. i decided to go for the gigabyte GA-P35C-D3SR and the e6600 2GB ocz ddr2 800 ram geforce 8800gts 640mb Every thing is running faster than before i cant believe how much faster it is compared to my amd 4800 2.4ghz. I have one question though, i noticed when i put cpu-z on it shows as 1.6ghz and 6x multiplier, but when i put a bit of load on the cpu, it goes up to 2.4ghz and 9x multiplier automatically. how can i turn this feature off in the bios? thanks , lee. | You may have to go into the BIOS and set the stock speeds manually. I've noticed this on the 650 and 680 boards.
